WPIC has constructed or rehabilitated more than 1,000 units of housing in its 19-year history, investing tens of millions of dollars in the neighborhood in what has been mostly rentals for low- to moderate-income residents.
WPIC's largest projects to date are the acquisition and rehab of Grove Parc Plaza Apartment, a 504-unit, Section 8 housing complex and 31,000 square foot shopping center; and the rehabilitation of an 18-block area in Central Woodlawn with more than 300 units.
Recently, WPIC has completed the first of three phases in a 150-unit, market-rate single-family home development along 63rd Street between Kenwood and Ingleside avenues.
